Weeks later, Matt find out that Skye had cut herself so bad that she need to stay at the hospital, and Matt go visit her, but when he arrived, she was sleeping, and he hold her hands until the nurse forces him out. The next day, Matt was curious about Skye's family, so he act as Bob the tutor to call her house, and he find out that Skye didn't even have a computer, eager to find out further information, he set up a meeting with the Colby's.
As Matt worried about Skye and confused with her lies, his friends found out that he was dating Skye, and which they have a big fight and never talk to each other any more. However, Matt did not really care about that at that time, and days later, he want to visit Skye's house. During the meeting with the Colby's, Matt find out that Lex is Skye's real father and Lisa isn't not Skye's sister, and it made Matt more confused about Skye's purpose of "picking" him out.
At Katy's birthday, she received a computer from her real dad, and she was confused so she came to Matt, and she find out what happened ten years ago and blame Matt for not telling him the truth. At this moment, Skye called Matt out, and they met and the beach house.
At the beach house, Skye told Matt that this is the right time to kill her parents. When Matt refuse, Skye threantened to kill him or his sister, which shock Matt, and he finally realized that this whole relationship is a plan, that Skye used Matt's love for Katy to manipulated him into killing her parents for her, so that she can get the insurance money. At last, Skye ask Matt who did he want to be death the most, her, her parents and Katy, and Matt choose her.
